Sonoran Twilight I
‘Sonoran Twilight I’ captures that fleeting moment when the desert exhales, just as the sun slips below the horizon. The sky ignites in deep oranges and golds, fading into the first hints of night. Shadows stretch long across the land, and a quiet stillness settles in—a kind of hushed reverence for the passing day.
I’ve always been drawn to this time, when the desert feels both vast and intimate, alive yet at rest.
This 24" x 18" original painting is my way of holding onto that last light, the desert’s final glow before night takes over. This original was in the Tubac Center of the Arts 'Celebrate! Santa Cruz Valley' Exhibit.
