The Sacrifice

As with so much of what I paint, because of being in a different state of mind when painting, I don't know really what I'm painting until the painting speaks to me. Except for knowing I was in a 'Native American ' frame of mind, I couldn't tell you exactly when I knew this painting was a tribute to all the Native American people who either lost their lives fighting for their homeland and/or were abused for a period of time by our own federal government. As wonderful as our country is, we have to confess there are stains on our country's past. This painting is in honor of all the millions of Native American lives that were sacrificed in our history.

Please allow at least 3 weeks to receive your signed print.  Your print will go through an extensive process between me and the printer to make sure  the colors are accurate.
