‘Sonoran Painted Sketches’ is a series of paintings that come straight from my time in the Sonoran Desert. Each one is a quick capture—light, sky, land—without overthinking, just letting the paint lead. The desert is always shifting, always surprising. One moment, it’s still and quiet; the next, a storm is rolling in, or the sky is burning with last light. 

 

These aren’t exact places, but they hold the feeling of the sky, the way it lingers in memory.
