Elder
A VICTOR STEVEN ROSENBERG Image
This is a drawing of a 93-year-old Navajo Elder—a man whose face holds the weight of wisdom, time, and tradition. Native American spirituality has always been something I’ve been drawn to. I’ve lived near different reservations, spent time with the people, sweatlodges, and had the privilege of witnessing their ceremonies and traditions firsthand.
To paint an elder, you have to understand what it means to be one. Their role is about seeing and carrying the culture forward. This 24” x 18” drawing is more than just a portrait. It’s a tribute to a man who has spent nearly a century walking the sacred path, a glimpse into a lifetime of wisdom etched into his features.
Original
The original graphite drawing is 24" x 18" on paper. Elder has been in the artist's collection until its recent release for purchase, $1,730.00. It’s framed and ready to hang.
A deep and quiet presence for any space.
