Sonoran Sky Ballet

‘Sonoran Sky Ballet’ captures the restless movement of the monsoon sky—clouds twisting and surging, shaping and reshaping themselves in an ever-changing dance. The desert below waits, expectant, as light and shadow shift across the land.

 

I’ve always been drawn to the energy of these skies, the way they move with both force and grace, as if the entire desert is holding its breath.

 

This 20" x 16" painting is my take on that fleeting moment before the storm arrives, a tribute to the wild, untamed rhythm of the Sonoran sky. 'Sonoran Sky Ballet' was shown in the 2024 Members' Juried Exhibit at the Tubac Center of the Arts.
