Somewhere Near the Center of the Milky Way

My Cosmos series is an ongoing exploration—each painting a step further into the unknown. Over time, my work has led me beyond the figurative and into the vastness of space, where color and movement take on a life of their own.

 

The process is intuitive. I paint first, letting the piece unfold until it tells me it’s finished. Then, we search through images from the James Webb and Hubble telescopes, looking for a celestial counterpart—a glimpse of something real that mirrors what came through in the studio. 

 

At 80" x 24", ‘Somewhere Near the Center of the Milky Way’  is part of that journey, a window into the great expanse beyond.
